Kyla Kavanaugh is a sophomore at the University of Miami pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Her campus involvements include Vice President of the Engineering Student Council, Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Aerosol and Air Quality Research Laboratory, TAMID Consulting Analyst, and member of Alpha Kappa Psi Pre-Professional Business Fraternity. Growing up in a family of educators with younger siblings, Kyla developed a natural instinct for making difficult material feel approachable. The tutors and teachers who supported her passion for math and science throughout school were instrumental in her decision to pursue engineering, and she is eager to offer that same guidance and encouragement to the students she works with across math, science, and English.
