Joya Lahoud
K-12 Tutor
Joya Lahoud is pursuing her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Columbia University, Teachers College, where she currently serves as her program's First-Year Representative. She graduated from the University of Miami last Spring with a BA in Psychology and a minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture. She loves languages and speaks English, Arabic, Spanish, French, and American Sign Language. In her undergraduate studies, she was president of Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology, and a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a business fraternity. She was also a part of three undergraduate research labs throughout her years at UM and is currently a part of three graduate school labs at Columbia. Through AKPsi and her current graduate school application process, she has gained knowledge in the field of personal statements, resume building, and interview techniques. Joya Lahoud loves to bake, and her favorite thing to make is birthday cakes for her friends and family!
