Dr. Christine Mastandrea received her Doctoral degree in Education and Master's degree in School Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, where she is highlighted on their website for the Fischler College of Education. Since 2015, she has worked at one of South Florida’s leading private Catholic high schools, receiving certifications through UC Berkeley for College Admission Counseling and the State of Florida for K-12 Guidance and Counseling.

Dr. Christine has worked extensively with students and families doing college planning while simultaneously coaching high school women’s soccer, and volunteering as a Guardian ad Litem Child Advocate for Broward County. This year, she was appointed to the Board of Directors for Voices for Children of Broward, and continues to integrate the mind and the heart together within her practice of working with today's teens and pre-teens.

College Planning Packages

The White Ibis

Created for 9th & 10th graders, the objective of this package is to put the student one step ahead as they begin to explore their future goals and college aspirations. This package includes the services outlined below:

  • An evaluation of available standardized test scores and high school report card(s) or transcript​

  • A personalized folder with a comprehensive plan and detailed recommendations after the first face-to-face session​

  • 4 Year High School Curriculum advice (course selection)​

  • Test preparation planning and advisement​

  • Assistance with creating a beginner's list of 7-12 colleges​

  • Recommendations for Summer​

  • Review of extracurricular activities​

  • Exploration of academic interests (future college majors/minors)​

  • Email and phone support

The Green Ibis

The objective of this package is to provide organizational assistance and detailed guidance for a high school senior throughout the application process and includes the services outlined below:

  • An evaluation of available standardized test scores and high school transcript​

  • Assistance with creating a list of 7-12 colleges and narrowing down choices by identifying safe, realistic, and reach colleges​

  • Timeline Guidance (Early Action, Early Decision, Regular Decision 1 & 2, Rolling)

  • Review of Common App Essay​ 

  • Activities Section review and revision​

  • Guidance and who to ask for Letters of Recommendation 

  • Email and phone support

The Scarlet Ibis

The objective of this package is to help a high school junior or senior present themselves as the strongest applicant they can be throughout the entire college application process and includes the services outlined below:

  • An evaluation of the student’s standardized test scores and high school transcript

  • A personalized folder with a comprehensive plan and detailed recommendations after the first face-to-face session

  • Test scheduling assistance, as applicable

  • Assistance with creating a list of 7-12 colleges and narrowing down choices by identifying safe, realistic, and reach colleges

  • Review and revision of the student's Common App Activities Section

  • Exploration of academic interests (future college majors/minors)

  • Guidance and who to ask for Letters of Recommendation

  • Brainstorming and review of the Common App Essay and 1 Supplemental 

  • Timeline Guidance (Early Action, Early Decision, Regular Decision 1 & 2, Rolling)

  • Deferral or Waitlist support, if applicable 

  • Assistance with scholarship searches and Financial Aid understanding

  • Support through the final college decision​​
